What to Expect
Food Walks of Texas offers visitors as well as natives a unique and tasty way to explore historic downtown McKinney.
This 3-hour walking tour includes tasting stops at 6 diverse locally owned eateries. Enjoy learning about the art, architecture, and historic landmarks from a knowledgeable and enthusiastic local guide. We leisurely cover 1.5 miles strolling around the downtown Square area walking at a very easy pace. Wear comfy shoes, bring your appetite and a camera, and get ready to have a fun-filled day! We serve Texas-sized tastings, so for most guests, you won’t be hungry for a while.
Look for your tour guide – “Tall Paul” – in front of the Old Collin County Prison.
Note: Social distancing and face masks will be required to participate in the tour.

Patina Green HOME & Market is an artisanal production that stocks products that are handcrafted, minimally processed, locally sourced, and seasonally inspired.
This family-owned and operated treat shop offers chocolates, fudge, truffles, pralines, and other goodies — all made fresh in their kitchen on a daily basis.
Cadillac Pizza Pub
You’ll find out why Caddy’s is named “Best Pizza in McKinney.” Caddy’s dough and sauce are made fresh daily in-house and feature Texas-grown vegetables and herbs. Yum!
Where to Meet
Your tour guide will greet you in front of the Collin County Museum located at 300 E. Virginia St. There is a parking lot across with its entrance on the NE corner of N. Chestnut St. and Virginia. There are several FREE parking lots around the Square. Be on the lookout for the “Parking Lot” signs posted around the area. Individual street parking is also available, but limited.

Our tours include ample tastings from 5 – 6 (or more) local eateries — depending on the tour — and collectively provide enough food for a satisfying lunch/brunch for most people.
We have a reputation for providing Texas-sized portions, so come hungry and leave happy!

In ALL cases for ALL tours, we walk at a very relaxed pace and are seated at all of the restaurant tasting locations. In the summer months, we take good care to keep you in the shade as best possible when outside, as well as providing water at all stops to keep you cool and hydrated.
