What to Expect
Food Walks of Texas offers visitors as well as natives a unique and tasty way to explore historic downtown McKinney.
This 3-hour walking tour includes tasting stops at 6 diverse locally owned eateries. Enjoy learning about the art, architecture, and historic landmarks from a knowledgeable and enthusiastic local guide. We leisurely cover 1.5 miles strolling around the downtown Square area walking at a very easy pace. Wear comfy shoes, bring your appetite and a camera, and get ready to have a fun-filled day! We serve Texas-sized tastings, so for most guests, you won’t be hungry for a while.

Where to Meet
Your tour guide will greet you in front of Patina Green Home & Market located at 116 N. Tennessee St. There are several FREE parking lots around the Square. Another ideal parking option is the FREE parking garage on the NE corner of E. Virginia St. and N. Chestnut. Be on the lookout for the “Parking Lot” signs posted around the area. Individual street parking is also available, but limited.

We have a reputation for providing Texas-sized portions, so come hungry and leave happy!

It depends on the tour — the length of each tour is included on the tour description page. In ALL cases for ALL tours, we walk at a very relaxed pace and are seated at all of the restaurant tasting locations. In the summer months, we take good care to keep you in the shade as best possible when outside, as well as providing water at all stops to keep you cool and hydrated.

The tours are held rain or shine because the food tastes great in any weather. Texas weather is usually good year-round, but we suggest you check the weather conditions for the day of your tour and dress appropriately.
